Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation at Home
Antenatal and Postnatal
Pregnancy is not a disease. However, pregnant mums face multiple physical and emotional changes in a short span of time which can be pretty daunting. Our team of physiotherapists understand the needs of pregnant women and help them relax and get ready for their big day.
Physiotherapy care for mothers-to-be should ideally start in the third trimester of pregnancy, wherein our therapists teach breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, pelvic floor exercises, postural training, maintaining healthy weight-gain, managing low back pain and muscle cramps, oedema, improving bone health, etc.
Post-natal care begins post-delivery for normal and caesarean section deliveries alike.
Early start to patient rehabilitation helps improve healing process and increases blood circulation. Educating patients regarding safe breast-feeding positions, urinary incontinence and handling and carrying of babies form a vital part of the therapy sessions.
Specific requirements of individual patients may vary from one to another depending upon their overall health and past medical history. Physiotherapists at Vesta Care are highly skilled at understanding each individual’s needs and tailor their therapy sessions in close coordination with our physicians and the patient’s gynaecologist.
